Consumer protection for Homebuyers & Homeowners

A reader recently sent me an email asking what they could do to fight back against getting screwed over by their homebuilder.

Like a lot of people during the housing boom, they got screwed over by their homebuilder. The demand was so high for new housing the quality of the product being built suffered dramatically. Ask any structural engineer with experience in residential housing. They will tell you that houses built today will not last as long as houses built 20-30 years ago. The quality doesn't even come close.

What toys are putting your children at Risk?

Hundreds of toys and other children’s products are being recalled due to safety concerns. Where do they wind up? They are being resold online through various auction sites. And guess who is involved. You guessed it, big old ebay.

If they are being recalled, how are they getting back on the street? And who is to blame?

Kill the Evil Ebay!

They say greed is the root of all evil. So Ebay must be the devil!

There ever increasing selling fees are sucking all profits out of their sellers. Every day Ebay stands by without remorse, watching, while fraud is being committed. This includes allowing the sales of large amounts of counterfeit merchandise. Leaving buyers (and sellers) without any assistance for these matters... Oh well, you are SOL!

Does this mean Ebay is on it's way down? A lot of people think so, including me. The New York Times has even put some coverage on this. I can say I have seen more and more complaints over the past year or so about the auction giant.
